FSA boss: state pension age should rise to 70

The state pension age should increase to 70, according to the chairman of the City regulator and author of the report that paved the way for the reform of the current pensions system, Lord Adair Turner.

Turner, who penned a key report on pensions reform in 2005 before he became chairman of the Financial Services Authority, said his proposals – much of which became enshrined in law - ‘should have been more radical’.
